At Home with Chloe

At Home with Chloe

Hi everyone! I’m Chloe and it’s lovely to e-meet you.

Many people may know me in various settings - I am an Accident and Emergency (A&E) doctor in one of Singapore’s hospitals, and am also the co-founder and master trainer of AXIOM (@axiom.sg), an indoor cycling and strength studio in the heart of Holland Village. I’ve been coaching and teaching in the boutique fitness industry in Singapore for the past 6 years.

Aside from my job(s), I’m really just a cat-lady with an unbeatable speed of eating, and always game for a good sweat and unforgettable adventures.

A perfect day at home would begin with me waking up without an alarm!
Inevitably, I’m out of bed by 8am latest. (blame the body clock!)

I always start my mornings with an iced black coffee, alongside a cold-pressed juice. I’ll hopefully spend an hour, maximum, replying and catching up on social media platforms and emails, before dedicating the rest of my morning to training (be it strength, metcon, a variety, or an active recovery with stretches).

I love training outdoors, but unfortunately that is limited during the Circuit Breaker period.

Afternoons would ideally be spent on cooking or baking from one of the many cookbooks I’ve accumulated over the years, and I’ll end the day with a home cooked meal and a glass of red wine. Lastly, I’ll get a chapter in from whatever book I’m reading now (currently - Midnight in Chernobyl) just before bed.

My favorite spot at home would be the kitchen and my island table. It is where I get to explore the creative side of me, and it helps that it is where the most natural light flows in as well.

If I’m not in active wear or my medical scrubs, I’m most definitely your jeans-and-sneakers kind of girl.

I’ve been wanting to open my own gym/studio for a long time and when I finally did so in February 2020, the feeling was indescribable. Next up on my bucket list would be to go diving in the Red Sea and check out the SS Thistlegorm wreck and swim with hammerhead sharks!
